Ohhhhh my gosh the scanner absolutely murdered this one. 
Her name is Grandmother and she's a giant tree-lady. To get some perspective, those trees around her are almost the size of Giant Sequoias.
She's wise and kind and has managed to be considered ancient even in a world where it's possible for the average person to live to roughly 1,000.
Her 'hair' does indeed feature growing trees and plants. It still flows and does other sort of hair-like things, though. And she's able to bend down to speak to those on the ground, although she prefers to bend down only to allow them to climb into her hand before she stretches back to her full height for their actual conversation.
She's able to control the other trees in her immediate area to some extent, due to her roots being twined with most of the forest.
She loves helping people and is probably the best healer on the continent.
She's the last of her kind.
